There are a number of government opportunities available for Mcarthian citizens.
The Presiding Officer of the House of Councillors is a position only available to Councillors. The Presiding Officer is elected by the House and is responsible for calling and chairing sittings. They may appoint two Depute Presiding Officers, who must also be Councillors. The Presiding Officer and any Deputes may continue to hold party affiliation.
Senators are elected by and from the House. The Senate is chaired by the Convenor, who again may appoint Deputes. The Convenor and their Deputes may continue to hold party affiliation. Senators cannot be appointed as Secretaries of State or Advocate-General.
The Senate has limited responsibilities, and is unlikely to meet often. It is responsible for ratifying any treaty or other international agreement, and has the power to strike down certain legislation.
The First Secretary is head of the government. This is a major role. The First Secretary will represent Mcarthia, and chair the National Administration Committee. They will recommend individuals for appointment as Secretary of State to the Chancellor, and be responsible for overseeing government policy. The First Secretary is nominated by the House, but does not need to be a Councillor.
The First Secretary may choose to appoint a Chief of Staff, and the Chancellor may appoint a Senior Adviser, which is a similar role to Chief of Staff.
There are four Secretaries of State (excluding the First Secretary), who head the Secretariats for Interior, Exterior, Fiscal Affairs and Commerce. They are appointed by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the First Secretary. secretaries of State, like the First Secretary, do not have to be Councillors
The Secretary of State for Interior has more responsibilities than any of the other Secretaries of State, managing justice, security and citizenship. The Secretary of State for Exterior manages foreign affairs, the Secretary of State for Fiscal Affairs deals with government spending and monetary policy and the Secretary of State for Commerce is responsible for corporations and banks.
The Advocate-General is the chief legal officer of the government, and like the First Secretary, must be nominated by the House of Councillors.
There are two Directors, who head the Directorates of Intelligence and Security, and Financial Conduct. The Director for Intelligence and Security is subordinate to the Secretary of State for Interior, and the Director of Financial Conduct is subordinate to the Secretary of State for Commerce. Both roles are appointed by the relevant Secretary of State.
The Foreign Legal Liaison Officer is appointed by the Secretary of State for Exterior, and is responsible for assisting Mcarthian citizens in any foreign legal matter.
The Independent National Ombudsman is nominated by the Senate. They are responsible for investigating potential malpractice by any public authority. They may investigate on receipt of a complaint, or on their own accord. The INO must not be a State Officer (Chancellor or Secretary of State), Councillor or judge.

Finally, the Court Registrar is appointed by the President of the Supreme Court. The Chancellor is currently holding office as Registrar, but this position may be open to other candidates. There are also positions for Depute Court Registrars. The Registrars manage the administration of the judicial system.
